Before: Outdated Short Panel Garage Door in Casta del Sol

Located in the Casta del Sol retirement community, the existing garage door featured a short panel design painted to match the home. The muted full sunray panel design was popular in the 80s and 90s, but over time, it had become dated.

Challenge: Upgrade to Modern White Garage Door with Windows

The homeowner wanted to refresh the garage door to create a more contemporary, eye-catching appearance that fits within the neighborhood’s aesthetic. They also sought to improve durability and functionality with a more robust operating system, ensuring long-term performance.

Solution: Modern White Garage Door with Cathedral Windows and High-Cycle Springs

We installed a CHI Model 2283, a steel front and back polystyrene-insulated garage door in a bright white finish. The short raised panel design and the addition of cathedral-style windows provided a clean, contemporary look that significantly enhances the curb appeal.

To boost performance, we upgraded the system with a side-mounted jackshaft opener and high-cycle springs rated for 25,000 cycles—2.5 times the lifespan of standard springs. This not only improves durability but also minimizes maintenance over time, offering a more heavy-duty and reliable solution.
